How To Book Uber Cab?

Open the browser on your pc and go to m.uber.com

Then, You need to enter your phone number, and then your password.

Once you register your phone number you will recieve the OTP on your phone. You need to enter that, you go to the booking page. This you need to enter just once. Later, When you need to book a cab, you won’t need to sign in again.

Once you’ve signed in, there will be a pop up to use location services. You will get a choice either to enable this or disable it, and then you’re taken to the booking screen.

Just Enter your pickup and drop location.

You’ll see the trip in the map below, along with the various cab options, the fare estimates, and the time to pickup. You need to select payment method from selected options and then the request button.

Click on request and your Uber Cab will be booked and you’re good to go.

    I want my money back. Your uber app having problems is not part of my concern. I have been cheated and humiliated by your people because of you. You have problems and you want to solve them with our fare. I didn’t walk around with money and all you want me to do is to pay so that you can solve your issues on my money. I am going to make this go viral so that everyone gets to know your game is you do not solve me out asap. How can I be indebted yet you are already having money on my account from over charging me. And how could I leave a car without paying. How could such a shot distance be charged at 550. Do you think you are the only people in the market out there.

      It is the drivers who cheat like start trip before reaching to you or pick you. They cleverly pretend as if trip is just started. I am also following up such incident in Bangalore.
      Solution : So just kick UBER out from your phone. Use OLA. In OLA there is OTP sent to customer which is required to start the trip. These crap drivers can’t cheat. Similarly for rental there is OTP to end the trip. Driver can’t leave you behind. He has to use the OPT to the trip. Never share the OTP over phone till you are inside the cab.

    I don’t know how your company is working,but the way your system is working is going worse day by day.
    I have rated the driver only 1star but you didn’t took any action against it,nor you called me.
    I have been charged twice for the cancelation of my trip which i have not done.

      I used my mastercard for my recent trip. My app showed ₹325 whereas the drivers app showed ₹271 cash and the driver insisted on cash and I paid it. When contacted uber they send a long reply stating that cash paid for non cash payments is not their problem. This is how Uber started cheating customers.

      Hi Satya,

      This happened with me too. The driver asked me to pay the toll charges. He initially paid 110 or so, to the toll guy, and then asked me if I have got change, I told him directly that we are not supposed to pay toll charge and that it is included in the fare only. He shut his mouth and paid the amount.

      Guys!! be careful especially when you take the ring roads, these guys think they are oversmart and that they can fool us. But we have to be aware of these cheats.

    We left a mobile phone by mistake in the seat back pocket of a cab. Afterwards we called him in 15 minutes to inform him of the same.

    I started a uber pool ride by 5 o clck and while going they picked another person for a drop I was in my drop location and the driver refused to drop me there and he told me to wait cause the uber app of the driver showed to drop the other person first and I accepted because it was the first time I went in share and while he dropped them and when he dropped me back. The bill was generated as 255 !! But for me it displayed 80rupess when I started the ride . the driver told I’m new uber and I don’t know what to do I was extra charged 180 rupees and I need a refund of that and the driver even asked me to complain about this for refund

    My uber account no is 09871391241 and my account got disabled when i want to book a ride through Uber cab app. But due to some issue my account got disabled. As i added some money in paytm for giving cab booking charges but at the time of booking cab my account got disabled and i added 350 rupees in paytm for paying uber cab charges which is going on-hold due to some reason explained in the below mail trail with paytm. So please re-enable my uber account 09871391241 and send my 350 rupees to my paytm wallet because of account disabled issue my paytm amount get on-hold.

    Myself Milind Jadhav, a regular Uber customer,

    On 29th March 17, when I traveled with uber with driver Zubair, he asked me to pay Airport toll,
    when I inform him that it will be included in bill & i never pay toll as i am a regular Uber customer & travelling multiple cities & never paid toll charges but he inform me that now policies has changed & you have to pay.

    So, I paid amount & had a receipt, PFA for same.

    when i checked my invoice no. ‘IYKGMKNG-03-2017-0000713’ it was with toll charged.

    so i paid twice for single toll…

    following explanations needed from you,

    1. why it has happen?
    2. what action you would take?
    3. Their is no customer service no, why?
    4. Bangalore airport Uber location changed but no signage & its very confusing.

    Can’t expect this from Uber.

    Request you to kindly revert & repay.

    I had to pay for same ride twice, I was in urgent where I had to drop off at railway station, I had checked for pool where, which showed me 49 rupees and I had carried among of 150 as I was about to withdraw cash from ATM, when I finished my ride the trip was charged for 201 INR, which included the 192 INR of ride I had previously, now I am out of resources, the driver was not letting me go, I had to travell with driver till ATM center in the tension and shame I forgot my pin and my card was blocked. I had to call my spouse and make her call her friend who stays near by and help me with cash.

    It was really embarrassing what Uber does, pont to think would a cab driver leave without taking 192 INR, then how come 192 INR can be pending with ride. Moreover, the driver who I was involved in this embraced environment collected 250 INR for waiting and taking me to the ATM near by.

    I feel like not turning up to UBER again in my life.
    I am not begger who wants refund to be made. What about the time and money I had to waste. Be aware guys if anyone of you face this issue don’t let em go as i did.

    If I face it again I would take the UBER and his driver to court.

    I had hired a ubergo for my traveling to Patel building girgaum from my residence at sector 19A nerul east nerul Navi Mumbai on 30th March 2017.

    When the vehicle booked the charge indicated was Rs 572.26.

    On arrival at my destination the driver claimed rs 778 saying that his system indicates that much amount. I paid only rs 573 and asked to put up this issue with Uber.

    On my return when I was trying to book Uber I was not allowed and was as king to pay rs 226 and my access was blocked.

    I made the payment through my credit card.

    I am writing this mail to record my objection for excess charge from me and request you to return the amount in my next travel.

    This kind of dealing is. Cheating to the customer which has to be checked and stopped immediately.

    I had in my earlier trips experienced to travel in dirty vehicles and non working ACs.

    I recommend to improve the condition of vehicles which you are hiring.

    I once again request you to return the amount of rs 226 charges on me.

    on 29th march 2017. i was traveling from jaipur airport to mokshdham location near jhalana. I hired uber from jaipur airport. driver knew that we were going to the funeral. i lost my mobile in cab it was toyota innova. i called the cab from same mobile app. my phone number was 9714714046.
    I lost my mobile at last seat of the cab. when i realized in 10-15 minutes that my phone is lost. i tried searching and called my number in that time itself driver switched off my mobile.
    and after that it was not reachable.
    i am sure that driver has my mobile.
    i tried help from uber office jaipur same day but they told that this office helps only drivers and not riders.
    same happened in ahmedabad they also did not helped on 5th april 2017.
    before couple of days i tried email help from support@uber.com. some of representative started helping with email conversation. but lastly they also ran away and stopped helping. in fact i just asked them to help me get my password. i asked them to either email me at my email id or send me at my phone number but no one helped.
    no help for riders no numbers for riders no password reset nothing is for riders so if some one at uber intensionally wants to do a loot can definately do it.
    Kindly let me know if anyone will help in getting my mobile back.

    One of worst experience with Uber u guys charge diffrent cost for same place and same time and I’m one of them me and my friend requested for uber pool and my friend got it for 188rs and when I try to request frist it didn’t even show me how much it will cost me and automatically it took request also and the amount was 300rs and above to that I was not able to cancel my ride also boz of that I took that ride and I’m regular user frm from same place to my home I use to get charge with in 200rs but today suddenly it’s 300rs I want my amount refund

    Hi Team,

    I was traveling today on 11th April 2017, with one of your’s driver kambaswamy in tata indica from Deloitte yemalur office to my apartments Mahadevpura, Banglore in uber pool – the traiff to be paid for that ride was rs 29 only – as per your recent plans of traveling with in 4 kms…
    After i boarded the car another request for pickup came for the driver which was 7 kms away… The driver went to pick that person up and i was made to travel as well since i had already sat in the car. After picking that person he took the longer obvious rout to drop me.
    On reaching my destination the amount came was 165 rs…

    I fail to under firstly why should i pay for the amount which was charged on me since the 7-10 kms of extra run by the driver was due to picking up another passenger which shouldn’t reflect in my billing ideally.

    Since my mode of payment was cash the driver asked me to pay him the entire amount and later deal with customer care…
    So here i am requesting my money back.(165-29) = 136 rs.

    Kindly do the needful. ASAP… Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened and there is no way the poor customers can address their issues or be heard.

    So Sir, coming to the point; last week, i.e., from 10/04/2017 to 16/04/2017 I drive in kolkata from Tuesday ( 11/04/2017 ) to late night Sunday ( 16/04/2017 ). Regularly average I was drive 12 hrs. But issue is , 1) on 14/04/2017 at 20.01 hrs. I complete pool for two bookings. total 11 trips completted but showing 10 trips. Then I call your call centre ph No. and they assure It will be rectified by next day. After next day I was call again your call centre, again they mens call centre asure me that will be rectified by next. There after next day, i.e., 16/04/2017 ( sunday ) it was last day for our promotion time upto 4 pm, I call approximately at 2 hrs. night when I will be logging off to your call centre that whether I completted my promotion target, i.e., 38 trips or not, otherwise I have to complete the target and again they assure me and also my Car Owner Mr. RAJEEV KUMAR PATHAK that I am already completted my target, i.e., 38 trips. and get a reword Rs.1500/-.

    But unfortunetly when I and Mr. PATHAK walking to your ballygunge kolkata office, the lady who talking to us behave like a subordinat,as my feelings which I feel. She told us on 14/04/2017 one cancell trip is wrongfully counted. So, my question is when we are calling your call centre for showing us for right way or give us right way and they missled us and as a result we are facing financial loss. So, my question is call centre missleading help why we born the loss. Is it world wide UBER policy.

    Another incident, at the time of looging off 16/04/2017 at 2 am (17/04/2017 ) which is weekend time, the amount of sale showing on my device is Rs.14,685/-excluding any promotion amount, but today that will be showing Rs.15584 ( approx) with Rs. 1800/- promotion amount.

    Another incident, day to day where I am tryin to give my best effort to satisfy our rider and UBER KOLKATA are reduces my promotion income.

    So though my best effort to serve our rider best my Income was reduces.So, you suggest me why I am further interested for walk with the world famous UBER.

    I booked a cab, driver communicated that he would be in front of mandir but he was not, i was looking for him for 5 min then called him back ..he said arriving then again i was waiting for him. But he was not there, so i called him and he said he is here, buti know he is not. After the call ended the very next minute he cut the call and cancellation fee is charged to me for the next trip. I dont understand if the drivers want to save their time why they are wasting our time. I had to cancel my interview because of him. so who will gonna pay me for that?

    This is Sophia from Chennai , today for my ride from home to hospital UBER charged INR 50 extra apart from my ride charges…driver claims that there is a pending payment in my account for Rs 50 which is not true…. There is no proper reason for the extra charges . You ppl post so many messages when it comes to Promo code , wont you ppl have enough time to send a message when you charge us extra and its reason .
    I need my 50 Rs back . And also if you really find time , kindly check whether your promo codes are working fine before posing .
    I have tried many times but not even a single time it had worked .
    I also wonder you ppl will have time to reply for this , If so it would be grateful .

    First trip he charged me Rs. 275/- and same amount I paid through cash. When I checked now receipt it is showing me Rs. 159/-.

    Second trip he charged me Rs. 359/- where is receipt is showing of Rs. 200/-.

    Request you to Check with your driver and get back to me.

    I had done my booking on 23 June Friday Recently at 4.13am from My Location Indira Nagar 18th Main (closer to domlur bridge) to bangalore international airport, i got a cab arrived and details of the cab is as follows

    Car Name : Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire

    My Complaint is I had done my booking from my location to airport i got fare was 741 rupees. But when the cab was arrived and the driver started the cab, he forced me to cancel the booking at the moment when he reached halfway, he said it “Cancel the booking else i can’t proceed to drop”. I had no option at that time and also it was quite urgent for me to catch my flight on time. Then he snatched my mobile and cancelled the booking literally by himself. I asked the reason why?, he said “I will drop you but fare comes 860 to 900”. I agreed for that fare as i had no option at that time, later he dropped me to the airport my destination arrived and he charged from uber app 1300 +. I had no option as i was rushing myself to airport to catch the flight. I asked that “you said the fare was max 900 now how come you are asking 1300”, then he cheated me and grabbed 1300 rudely by calling other uber drivers for his support and left me behind at the airport. Worst cheated incident from UBER, as far as UBER service was good, but this is really ridiculous. If driver asks extra money additionally that is pretty reasonable which differs from the manner what action he had done with me. As a customer Requesting the UBER to take this action seriously and charge it in file of your complaint. Review the charges and credit the amount back to my account as money charged by him was illegal.

    I wish to report a discrepancy of fare and misleading by UBER Driver faced by me on 01/07/2017 after midnight (Time around 2-00am). I booked an UBER Cab via Mobile APP and 12-49am and the driver declined the trip at 1-14am. Very strange to notice that I had been charged Rs. 63.00 for that, which should not be as the trip was declined by driver, not me.
    Again I took a cab at 1st July – 1-43 am (Driver PINTU) from parking outside Howrah Station and I have paid parking Fee of Rs. 59/- cash to parking authority. After reaching at Destination at 2-22am, 1st July, driver took Rs. 356 as fare from me. Due to mobile network problem , I could not cross check the same. Later I received message of Rs. 243.56 bill for the ride taken. But through mail, I received invoice Rs. 296.00 for the same ride. This shows the major discrepancy and totally mesh of UBER System.

    Being a business associate with LINDE, such discrepancies should not be expected. Request you to look into the matter and arrange for refund of excess paid.

    We booked Uberx from Shyamal to Kalupur railways station on 1st July at around 5:30 pm.We needed it at 8:30 pm that time show me rent approx 165 to 175 ..We got the message just before 5 minutes, but we could not read the message..Then the car came & dropped us at station & gave us the bill of unbelivable amount of Rs.561 including surg charge..The bill was of double amount of my railway ticket of Bombay..I regular use Uber last two time i go at air port far distance then railway station below 200rs & if i know about surg charge i can able to go in two rickkshow easily available from my palce. if i book two rickshow then rich palce below 200 rs.why i pay this surg charge uber duty to call us & inform us not only by sms.. after this incident I may not use it any more.& tell my friend not to use uber..I demand the refund me surg charge,Please refund me the amount of surge charge near 371 rs…

I usually a very frequent OLA / UBER passenger in-spite of Local Taxi, its very regret to say that I would not expect this type of reaction from your side.
    Still, the message showing me whenever I am going to book a ride..!!! Here, my question is should I was wait for the driver and let my Job/Office/Urgency keep apart to hell..??

    They don’t charge what they show. They do fraud with customers. I booked uber pool which was showing Rs 49 and I was charged Rs 63 for my last trip cancelld by driver which was credited to me. So my bill should be Rs 49+63-63=49 instead they charged Rs 179. Uber Is fraud.

Fortunately the Uber driver came to near by pick up location after half an hour but he said his car was punctured and can’t able to come to pick me up but what I’m seeing on road he was driving the car from tolichowki to mehdipatnam road, and it made me furious and very angry thought to stop the driver and hit him hardly, for he made me to wait for half an hour and not even picked me up by lying. I want a serious action to be taken against that Driver. In an urgent situations what do we do if these people do like this whom do we rely on a strict action needs to be taken against this person.

    I have just received a call from one person by name Deepak, saying he is from uber customer service and he is asking my bank account details like 16 digit debit card number expiry date and my cvv in order to process my request further he is saying need to do a transaction of 10 rs but I’m getting a transaction amount of 20000 I have share my 16digit debit card pin and my card expiry date but i didn’t shared him the cvv, why uber service asking confidential information from the customer, I need a quick response on this issue and it needs to be sorted out as early as possible, this uber guys asking my bank sensitive information and I’ll complaint this to the cyberabad police about this issue.

    I want my money back to my paytm account.
    today (16/08/2017) i booked for Uber pool services and driver Sanjay with Hyundai Xcent DL1RT7980 was waiting at a different place. I booked it from my home and after getting down and coming on the main road where I was waiting for him. When I asked him to come at the right place he straight place but he refused to come and with a bad behaviour, he cancelled the booking on his own. But Rs. 42 has been deducted from my Paytm account. Why should I pay any charge for which the driver or your system is at fault. If your navigation system cannot find me at correct location.
    So I want my money back to my paytm account asap.

    Uber taken payment twice. I have paid Rs 150 /- through credit card on 25th July 2017. Today again they charged me Rs 150 plus today’s travel charge. I have called many numbers nobody responding nor giving proper solution.
    Uber customer service is very poor. Unnecessarily charged twice.

When I asked him to increase the blower he was arrogantly making sarcastic remarks and told he was not bothered about customer comfort and keeping blower at 2 or 3 will affect mileage. In Chennai where it is perennially hot and as a customer paying for the service, it is deficiency of service on his part. I request Uber to instruct Drivers to respect customers. Chargingg for A/c car without proper A/c is condemnable.

    I am not happy with uber bcz, today 2am my friend bookuber for me juinagar to wadala station & my frnd told me 252 I hv to pay but Itold driver drop at bar key Ali naka 1.5km before but
    When driver press end trip I seen 264 rd how possible

    8am again my frnd book from barket Ali wadala to juinagar ji was seen 292 rs but when driver the trip at my location I seen 356rs how possible

    This is K. J. Varghese Rozario, Placing a complaint on behalf of my sister SHEEBA EDEL. from Chennai.

    She along with my Father was travelling in Uber between 8 to 8.30 on 8th September from Income Tax Office, Nungambakkam to Besant Nagar church. the mobile number of her is 9500162631. the Name of the Cab Driver is Ajish – Cab number – 7865, Tata Indica, Silver Colour.

    She has given her mobile phone to the driver to charge h and got down in the destination paid Rs. 110 as the charge for the ride. While rushing for the prayer service she has forgotten to take her phone back from the cab driver. within few minutes after realising, she tried calling her number that was left in the cab but the cab driver has switched off the phone and we could not contact him. shes trying to remember the drivers number but could not.

    kindly help in getting the phone from the cab driver who is insincere in his work. and he is dishonest.

    I have registered in uber app today, I booked ride to terminal 3 at 0900pm. Mr Anil driver who picked from block no 17. I got free ride promo code to apply but it has not accepted and one more the driver Anil misbehaved with me to give him 5 star he pulled my mobile fiercely and pressed the code without my intervention. Hence that code has been given to him by me. The amount when I booked as 221.36 INR but coming to the distination it has shown as 230 INR. Hence it is not fair and not advisable to any node this UBER ride is not safe.

    Requesting action may be accorded against Mr.Anil who mis behaved with passenger the same may be intimated to me. And the star what he himself pressed is not valid repeat not valid. And the amount may be paid back for his misbehavior in a couple of days.

    I wish to inform Uber and all the people that on 10 Nov 17 I booked a ride for Vashi and was given can number MH 47 Y 0082 the waiting time was 11 min we got desperate as there was a death in the family after 10 min the cab came in and my family Sat in it.
    The moment my family Sat in the driver refused the journey saying that he stays at Goregaon and the trip is of Vashi so he is not interested. I requested the cab driver and told him about the situation but he was very rigid and treathene me that he will take them and drop them in mid way so it is better if I listen to him and cancel the trip. My family for very scared as there were ladies in the cab and ran away from the cab as the driver name Amrut got very aggressive.
    I have been using Uber for long but now I have decided to step down and will never ever use it again.
    I request the authority to please look into the matter and take action on him.
